Uber — application based taxi benefit — is presently offering bike ride, beginning at a base passage of Rs 20, in Chandigarh and Mohali.
Baxis — as these bicycle taxis are known — are as of now operational in Rajasthan, Goa, Gujarat, Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad.
The notice about the new administration was flashed on applications of the clients in the district on Saturday evening.
Alongside the base admission, Rs 3 for every km and Rs 1 every moment will be charged. The base toll is pegged at Rs 20.
Chandigarh Uber general director Nitish Bhushan stated: "The administration is a result of the thought 'Apni gaddi apna rozgar' of the Punjab government. The administration has begun in Chandigarh and Mohali for the present." He said it is a "delicate dispatch" since they have less bicycles now yet the administration will be extended in coming days and Panchkula will likewise be incorporated.
"The new administration comes as a treat for inhabitants who need a less expensive ride. It will likewise make business," said Bhushan.
UT state transport expert secretary Rajiv Tiwari said the organization was yet to conclude a strategy for the baxi ride. It is learnt, the strategy might be cleared one week from now.
